The Ridge Crowner DK is a special development for the vegetable cultivation. Hydraulically driven large serrated disc wheels run over the vegetable ridge. The rotating discs cut off the vegetable crowns inclusive the haulm and deflects it to the side.
The Ridge Crowner can either be used as single units fitted to a separate frame or in combination with a haulm or vegetable topper. To work as a combination the haulm or vegetable toppers cut off the long haulm followed by the Ridge Crowner which cuts off the crowns as required.
The depth control works on a parellogram and controls the depth via screw-adjusted feeler wheels.
The hydraulic drive is operated from the tractor hydraulics. |
