GB 215 & GB 330: Two row belt planter

This two row belt type planter offers improved working speeds and a gentle action towards chitted seed.

The seed spacing and all functions are operated from the new VC50 control box in conjunction with a joystick box.

The combination of many optional features allows this planter to work in all field situations where planting up/down hillsides is necessary. Hydraulic steering wheels and automatic levelling of the planting elements allows this to happen. The proven planting system using bands to singulate the crop in readiness for planting, combined with two cleated return belts provide, with the computerised spacing settings a very simple to operate planter.

 The constant checking by the planter's computer of the required plant spacing or tuber count ensures that the planter is working correctly

The innovative award winning flow board maintains an even depth of planting whilst ensuring the correct ridge formation whilst planting at speeds up to 7/8 kmh. For simple adjustment of planting depth, Grimme has introduced a turnbuckle adjustment system allowing adjustment to be made from the left hand side of the machine.

The new soil retention plates follow the ground contours ensuring soil moved by the openers is kept within the Flow Board. All soil from the destoned bed is then available for the formation of the required ridge shape.
