DLG awarded unique world innovation: the new low maintenance potato intake TERRA-FLOAT. The intake consists of 5 wheels, assembled on one cross tube, which run in the furrow beside the 4 ridges. The tube is mounted on either side of the main web channel, which is in turn fixed to a moving arm. Supported by two bearings it retains a low maintenance design and controls following functions: depth control, yawing movements and additionally takes the pressure from the front axle, side control of the drills, intake of haulm at the side and avoids crop losses between the shares.
